Public activities for all the family
We regularly run activity stalls at events across Northern England. Alongside a range of fossils from the region to see and handle, we offer different creative learning activities drawing on aspects of local geology - from sharks to fossil forests.

Workshops and talks
We also run workshops for smaller groups.
One of our most popular options is a short session introducing the fossil heritage of your local area. This hands-on session is perfect for those wanting accessible training to help with their own engagement efforts such as museum gallery volunteers and school teachers. We can give talks on a range of fossiliferous topics - covering everything from the history of geological science up to modern day research! |

For A-Level geology students we can discuss careers in geology and palaeontology, as well as aspects of our own scientific research. We can also offer bespoke activities for homeschoolers. |
